Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 package 10 oz. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 container 16 oz. sour cream Can be replaced with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup mayonnaise Light mayonnaise works for a lower-calorie version.
  • 1 package Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix
  • 1 can 8 oz. water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped Jicama can be used as a substitute for more crunch.
  • 3 pieces green onions, chopped Shallots make a suitable substitute.

Method

Preparation
  1. Thoroughly drain the thawed spinach to remove all moisture—wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze until nearly dry. Transfer the spinach to a medium mixing bowl, gently breaking apart any clumps for even distribution.
Combine Creamy Ingredients
  1. Add sour cream and mayonnaise to the spinach. Mix until fully combined and smooth. Sprinkle in the Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix, folding until the seasoning is evenly incorporated with no dry spots. For a subtle flavor boost, add ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
Add Crunch & Chill
  1. Fold in chopped water chestnuts and green onions, ensuring even texture throughout. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for best flavor). Let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
