Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the dry stuffing mix, ground beef, eggs, water, and half of the ketchup. Mix until fully combined.
Assemble & Bake
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
- Spread the remaining ketchup (or barbecue/chili sauce) over the top.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes, checking after 50 minutes for doneness.
Rest & Serve
- Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm with mashed potatoes, vegetables, or salad.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to prevent toughness. Experiment with the flavor of the Stove Top Stuffing and consider adding chopped onions or peppers for extra flavor. For a cheesy surprise, add shredded cheese in the middle before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze tightly for later use.
