Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan or line a tray with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, half of the BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper just until combined.
Cooking
- Shape the mixture into a loaf in the prepared pan or free-form on the tray.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
Glazing and Serving
- Remove from the oven, brush with remaining BBQ sauce, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Bake for another 15–20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest 5–10 minutes, garnish with parsley, then slice and serve.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh green salad. A little extra BBQ sauce on the side can enhance the flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
