Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for lower fat content.
  • 1 package Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Can substitute with crushed crackers, oatmeal, or cooked rice.
  • 1 ea egg
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional Ketchup for topping Spread on top before baking if desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion soup mix, milk, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Cooking
  1. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish. If desired, spread ketchup on top.
  2. Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Serving
  1. Allow the meatloaf to rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

This meatloaf can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Use lean ground beef to reduce fat content and add chopped vegetables for extra nutrients.
